Brownsea Swim – National Trust Marine Project

We’re working with the National Trust to help engage more people with Brownsea’s marine environment and to support the island’s vital conservation work.

As a conservation charity, the National Trust is not only committed to creating and maintaining a healthy and beautiful natural environment, but to also inspire and educate visitors to enhance their understanding of the island and the coastal environment that encircles it

Underwater Camera System.

This year the Brownsea Swim will be raising funds to help replace an old underwater camera system. The purchase of new filming equipment would mean that the National Trust can share a window into a world unseen by most, so that they can better understand and want to protect this fragile ecosystem.

This video clip will also give you a taste of what can be shared more widely with an upgraded system

Single use plastics

Our long term aim is to support the Trust’s ongoing work to eliminate single use plastics. We envisage that this will become an ongoing focus for our future events

We’re aiming to phase out as much single use plastic as we (safely) can this year. We very much envisage that this will become an ongoing focus for our future events.
